The 1984 and Jersey Star aren't made with import parts anymore?

Those are same models they have been selling at MusicYo. Doesn't look like much of anything new except for maybe the dealers link. Looks like we'll be seeing these at Guitar Center.

Re: New Kramer web site!

The "USA 1985 Baretta" and "Baretta VT-200" are brand new, having just been officially announced at NAMM 2006.

I understand that the following are Made In USA:

USA 1984
USA 1984 Custom
USA Jersey Star
USA 1985 Baretta

OFRs, Schaller tuners & strap locks, not sure about the pickups (Gibson, I'd guess).

I've heard that the Nightswan is supposed to be reissued. That would be cool!

That would be very cool, indeed. I was kinda hoping it would surface at NAMM.

The only way that plywood 600ST is cool is if you change the craptacular single-locking Floyd II for a real Floyd, change the pups and change the body to something other than plywood! I've still got mine; though it hasn't been played in years.

Re: New Kramer web site!

Kinda interesting that the 1985 is the most expensive of the lot... it lists at $1849 compared to $1704 for the Jersey Star and $1397/$1467 for the 1984. The body is listed as being "USA hard maple", however, so I guess that explains it.

that's very cool. looks like gibson is moving kramer back to being a more legit line of guitars. now, if they would do the nightswan, pro-axe, etc...and price them in the schecter, ltd, ibanez range they would have a hit!!

that USA baretta reissue is killer!!
GEAR:

some guitars...WITH STRINGS!!!! most of them have those sticks like on guitar hero....AWESOME!!!!

some amps...they have some glowing bottle like things in them...i think my amps do that modelling thing....COOL, huh?!?!?!

and finally....

i have those little plastic "chips" used to hit the strings...WHOA!!!!

The Kramer folks were really trying to get dealers at NAMM - they even offered to let me be one. All four of the models under USA Collection are all made in the US. The parts are made at a few different OEM suppliers in the US. They looked pretty decent in person - except for the banana headstock - I never cared for those.
I want REAL change. I want dead bodies littering the capitol.
