They finally got these in at MF, so I figured it was worth a shot. Michael Schenker gets zip since it isn't a signature model, which is a shame knowing his financial problems. The sun was setting behind the mountain so the pix aren't the best. A shout out to the cat for loaning me his scratching post.
Anyhoo... Alder body / mahogany set neck, Epi pickups, rosewood board, 24 3/4 scale, Grover tuners. Board was really dry and soaked up two applications of Gibson conditioner. Frets look and feel good so far. The nut is somewhat rough in spots but does fine with 10's. As you can see from the headstock photo, the black/white doesn't quite line up evenly. (Looks good otherwise) And do 'ya think they could fit anymore stickers on the back of the headstock?
The pickups don't sound bad, not really good either. Kind of brittle or harsh at least to my ears.
I'm guessing that the rubber thing on the side is so that you can play sitting down and it won't slide off. Not sure who's brain fart at Gibson/Epiphone that was. (its only on the outside, not cut into the control cavity)
Overall, not bad for $399. Here's the pix:
