• My Washburn Dime V Pro Story

I didn't want to bring back that old thread when all of that was going on so, anyway....I was out of town when that Music123 sale was first posted and when I got back, I saw it and went "DAMNIT! I wanted one of those!". Of course, by then, they were all gone.

So, for the next couple of weeks I kept checking Music123 (I figured in vain) to see if maybe just MAYBE, by chance, they might have missed one and would list it. I had pretty much given up and then lo and behold, one was listed. It just came in last week. Absolutely a sweet axe for the price.

I don't really like gig bags much so I ordered a Coffin Case for it and that came in today. That was the only case I could find that seemed like would fit it. It is a bit big and I need to get some foam for the end but I think it will work fine.

When did you get in on one? I was kind of pissed when they took my order and never cancelled it. And then when I called they just said thats out of stock sorry...

It was literally 2 weeks ago on a Friday. When I got into work, I checked the site, and at this point I had given up on the Dime V Pro. They had a couple of the lower end Dime V's on their "outlet/clearance" section. That wasn't what I was looking for but I did notice that the stock changed everyday.

So, I thought, well, I might have missed out on the Dime V Pro but maybe they'll pop something else out there that will be interesting at a cool price. And...actually, after I had given up, there one was, so I snagged it. Even at that point I wasn't sure that I actually got it because they didn't update their shipping info over the weekend.

So, I don't know...just one of those things I guess. I kept looking at their "outlet" section and the only thing I was kind of interested in was a "blemished" Les Paul Supreme for $3000 or so. Well, *I* was interested but my wallet said "get the f**k out of here".

Off topic, but does the Coffin Case smell funny? I had one a while back and I remember it bothered me because it looked cool, but smelled like mothballs or something similar.

Mine smells fine...well, about as fine as a case can I guess. No mothballs or anything.
