(sorry for the big pics) It's cool!, nicely built too! As much as I can figure out is: it's an '85, built in Japan, the LC60 model meant to be a '57 copy of a Custom. Totally stock and original too.

Can't beat that with a stick. It's beautiful. I'll bet you if you go play a real LP you won't find a whole lot of difference. And if you do, just buy new pups. I am a true ass set to this board.

That is absolutely gorgeous, my favorite color combo on a Custom. How does it sound, how's the action? She looks almost NOS; does she have much fretwear? Congratulations!Courtesy, Integrity, Self-control, Perseverance, Indomitable Spirit

Gibson-san had some pretty good competition. For all you stage guys, the fans can't tell the dif. And just think of all the money you can save to buy beer. I am a true ass set to this board.

I would really like a true Tokai/Burny/Greco/Orville from the era when they were burying Gibson in terms of quality.
That one is sweet, nice score!
MikeSleep. The sound doesn't collapse to riffs of early eyes either.

I think mine can be had for anywhere between $500 to $700. I have no idea about that custom . You should check out the tokairegistry.com. There are some good stickies there. Tokai continues to make lawsuits to this day and there are a ton of models across the spectrum. The members there are pretty open about giving ballparks on the various models.
edit: here are some tokai love rock (name of their lp line) catalog scans from 2000. you can tell by the yen price which are the higher end models.

Re: I just got a Tokai LP! any of you guys into th
I'm still amazed at how good of shape it's in, it plays and sounds great. I haven't owned a real G-LP before (but a couple of dual hum Hamers). A good friend checked it out who's owned several good GLp's, he said it's in the top 3 of any LP's he's ever played, and made me promise to sell it to him if I ever get rid of it.
I don't really know what it's worth, probably in the $500-700 range like stated above. I very-luckily found it at a pawn shop, it was sitting on the counter, just being (under)priced to be hung on the wall.
Seventhson, that burst is awesome!
here's a post-cleanup pic that shows the wood a bit better:

I could be wrong, but I believe the LS line is Japanese and the ALS line is Korean.
