    The pups are not bad but I put in a pafpro last night and it really tightened up the sound. I think your 3000 came with better pups!

      My sentiments exactly. The 3000 has Alnico V pikcups. The 2000 has ceramics. Mine now sports a Jazz neck and a hybrid Custom/'59 in the bridge.

      These guitars rock.
