Re: Japan keeps all the really cool stuff for itse
[ QUOTE ]
We have our Charvel Stratheads now. I prefer that over any fenders.

That's not really a fair comparison. Someone who is in the market for a US Charvel probably isn't going to be looking at Fender Japan Domestic Market guitars. They're aimed at completely different budgets. A Charvel with the same features would list for $3699 and sell for ~$2589. The FJ (which [b]is[/i] of outstanding quality, btw) is selling for $670.

the Japanese Fender are real nice. They us USA pickups. The Sambora paisley signature model was made in Japan and was outstanding sounding and played great. They now sell for near $1800.

I dunno, looks cool to me and reminds me of the Iron Maiden Sig. that was out a few years ago. Problem was that guitar played like @ss. So I would not be interested in anything like that unless I could play it first.

Sorry man I just don't think its that interesting, none of those things are particularly wow worthy in my book. You can find a strat with the same stuff from Warmoth on ebay and your getting USA made parts. Not that the japanese guitars are bad mind you, and its likely to be cheaper than a grand. Warmoth's have shitty resale value so more likely than not you can get an amazing strat with everything you listed for under 600.
One thing I do like and find somewhat interesting is the HSS pickguard setup. Thats very cool. Also good to see a floyded strat. The radius top is the one thing listed that I don't think you can get from anyone else.
