Re: Washburn Steve Stevens model?

Nice collection! So the black headstock w/ gold is the SS-80?, and the maple head is the import SS40? I think I remember a black headstock..., it's a logging town (where I doubt they sell many floyded guitars) and it's been there a LONG time, I'll bet I could get it for $200. So; mop inlays, gold logo, and Washburn logo'd trem, any other clues to look for?, would it say made in USA anywhere?, or SS80?

Maple head, I believe Washburn was selling these as factory second or something.
I used to see bunch of these necks on Ebay from Washburn dealers.
U.S. Model has Gold logo and signature on the headstock.
It also shoudl say crafted in Chicago, U.S.A. on the headsctock and the neck plate.

The maple head I think is a neck from the SS100. I agree you see alot of overstock washburn parts on ebay and I've also seen that neck on the 'bay...altho most of the Steve Stevens and Nuno stuff has been sold off years ago and likely is long gone.

The painted headstock with Steve Stevens signature, that is the SS80 if I'm not mistaken and the painted headstock where it says, 'steve stevens model' is the SS40.

That pic with the hot chick, the Frakenstein and the Marshalls, wow.. makes ya miss the 80's sometimes. .. not sure which gives me more wood..its a triple threat.

The ss-40's had mostly black headstocks but there have been a few that I've seen that had natural headstocks also. All the SS-80's I've seen had black headstocks except the natural finish one that I have in my pics above.
