Re: Warmoth strat body vs Charvel Strat body

Musikraft can make you a Charvel body replica. Warmoth's strat body is shaped different. I'd go with Musikraft over Warmoth for Charvel replicas.

Lee will not sell bodies or necks anymore...only finished instruments. He will paint anything you give him though.

If I get a MK body, will have have to drill the required holes for attachung the input jack plate, pickguard (if its top routed), strap buttons, and the ones required in the back of the body for the installations of the Floyd Rose trem, and the ones for the control cavity plates?

probably. i really think the best thing for you to do is either call the companies or send them an email (since you're in PR). that's not to say that there's something wrong with asking, but you eventually have to get to a point where you either contact the company, or just get the parts and go for it, ya know?

unless you get one of those saga kits on ebay, you shouldn't expect to buy a bunch of parts and have everything drilled for you and put it together with minimal effort. and even if you do that, i've seen plenty of posts from people about how the holes that are drilled don't match up, etc.

if you buy a neck, you'll probably need the frets dressed to a degree. you'll need to mount the floyd nut, and you'll have to drill the little teeny screw mount holes for the tuners. you also may have to drill the mounting holes.

if you buy a body, you'll have to (at minimum) drill the holes for the input jack mounting plate, pickup rings, and the strap buttons. you'll probably have to drill the holes for the cavity controls. not sure if they drill the string claw mount holes for you, but i'm sure they will if you ask. you'll probably have to drill the pickguard holes as well.

drilling the holes for that stuff is probably the easiest part of it. there's precautionary steps you can take to ensure it goes well, and we'll be happy to guide you should you choose to take that step on your own.

if you're concerned with your level of ability and not wanting to spend a bunch of money on something that you may mess up, either start with ebay parts or buy the parts and have someone assemble it for ya. or buy the parts, ask questions, and don't stress when the time comes for you to bust out the drill.

i think you're at the point where ya just gotta step up and make the purchases. it'll be okay!
