If I buy a Warmoth body with the neck holes drilled and purchase a Musikraft strat neck with the neck holes drilled, will they match without any problems?

Re: Warmoth strat body and Musikcraft neck
The problem with buying from Musikraft is that I'll have to take it to a tech to do various things (floyd nut install, fret leveling, etc) that will raise the cost of the project considerably. I heard that with Warmoth they will drill everything so it is only a matter of attaching things. The problem with getting the stuff from Warmoth is that the necks are not as similar to the Charvel necks as the ones you can get with Musikraft, plus the cost of Warmoth stuff is also higher.

Re: Warmoth strat body and Musikcraft neck
oh, with Warmoth you'll likely need to bevel and file the fret ends/tangs. I consider their stuff 85% complete unless it is a fully finished neck with nut and tuners.
I would think you would be able to get a musikraft body and neck to match what you want. Either way, it seems logical to stand to reason you'll have to have some work done on both options. I would consider it will be compartive in cost in that respect.

Re: Warmoth strat body and Musikcraft neck
That's a possibility, but most of the folks here that have experience with Warmoth necks say they haven't had the need to do anything to their necks. That apparently is not the case with Musikraft necks.

econ, no matter who you get the parts from, you're going to have to have the frets done. neither company promises a fret job in their prices.
musikraft customers, please correct me, but i believe that their floyd nut platforms leave the locking nut hanging in the breeze a little bit. that's not that big of a deal, but i'm just sayin. warmoth's floyd platforms will do that as well, unless you get a warmoth pro neck and lose the skunk stripe.
imo, you can probably get a real charvel for a little bit more than the amount you're about to spend on a DIY replica. just sayin.
