When you think of a blues guitarist, what guitar is brought into your mind?

Depends on your personal view of Blues. Strat for SRV's style, definitely, as well as Robert Cray and hundreds of others, but 335 for BB King, or even a Flying V for Albert King. Then there's the 1930s/40s acoustic blues artists like Leadbelly and Howlin Wolf and Memphis Slim.
I'd say it's more of a pickup+amp/overall tone than a particular brand or model guitar. Medium ouput pickups, a 4x10 cab, moderate compression, and maybe a distortion/overdrive pedal for solos.
You can do it with a Warrior, Rhoads, King Kelly, or even a Machine Gun just as well as with a Srat or Les Paul or 1950's Kay.I want to depart this world the same way I arrived; screaming and covered in someone else's blood

For Texas Blues I'll go with a Fender Strat. For Memphis Blues I'll go with a Gibson ES335. For Delta Blues I'll go with a Dobro.Comment

some amps...they have some glowing bottle like things in them...i think my amps do that modelling thing....COOL, huh?!?!?!
