Re: In your mind, what is the classic blues guitar

When I hear the word blues, the first thing that comes to my mind is Stevie Ray tearing up on his number one. So I'd have to vote for the Strat.

I always think of a 335, or even a les paul. BTW Chuck, that white strat is KILLER . White strats are THE classiest guitars (my Hendrix influence is coming out)

The first thing that popped up was a V, but a few others came to mind too. Classic? outside of a resonator style or acoustic, a tele or a 335 is classic.

I wonder why the les paul pops up in my mind. Must be people like Joe Perry.

                    I'd like a tobacco burst 76 RI Gibson V with a bigsby and P90s...

                    Maybe a hollowbody L6 or ES175 too

When I think blues, it's gotta be a sunburst or natural finish to me for some reason.

Fender Strat is, in my mind, the classic electric blues guitar.

Much truth in that statement. I also just finished reading a guitar magazine featuring him, so that probably helped.
