My new Carvin DC400 arrived today!

So, late last year, I started looking for a new guitar. I tried some Jacksons, and I was convinced that a Jackson was the only guitar for me. Well, saving my money for a few months, I decided that it was simply too much to spend on a guitar right now. Carvin looked like a very good alternative, so I took the plunge and basically ordered what I thaught my dream guitar would be. Well, it finally came today. I could not be happier, it is specactular. I have only found one problem with it, and it is so small I dont care. I can honestly say this is one of the nicest, if not the nicest, guitars I have ever played.

Its a DC400 with a floyd, gold hardware, rounded body, jumbo frets, abalone block inlays, you can change it from active to passive!

Sorry for the bad pics, I am not very good with a digital camera. I will try to take some nicer pics this weekend.

Nice!!! [img]/images/graemlins/headbang.gif[/img] I had a DC400 hardtail with a Ruby Redburst flametop a few years ago, it was a very nice player.

Congrats!!! Beautiful guitar, just great! I'm ordering mine pretty soon, it should look pretty close to yours except it will have cherry sunburst finish, abalone dots, mahogany neck and body and it's DC127.

Looks really nice, congrats! Too bad the importer here in Finland almost doubles the prices on Carvins so the only option on getting one is from the second hand market either locally or from ebay. Direct sales from Carvins web shop is a no-no because we have an importer. Whoopee. [img]/images/graemlins/eviltongue.gif[/img]

Nice Carvin! I just recently joined the Carvin club for the first time too. Picked up a 1.5 year old C66C (Contour w/ Floyd) and the active electronics deal. Still not sure I like the PUs (C22s) as much as a nice Duncan set, but the guitar was in unbelievable condition (totally mint) and looks really pretty w/ a ruby red quilt top. The action when it arrived was at 1/64" and was actually playable w/ a small bit of fret buzz. Moved it up to 3/64" and it plays sweet w/ no buzzing at all! Carvin really does seem to make nice necks.

That is a really pretty guitar.

However, I would seriously consider sending it back to Carvin for a few more knobs and switches...that top looks empty!! [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]
