I had a C7 Blackjack for awhile. Very nice guitar. Frets and pickups are both top-notch. The only reason I sold mine was that I couldn't get used to the 26.5" scale. I've now got an old C7+, which is a setneck guitar with a 25.5" scale, but I need to replace the Duncan Design pickups on that one, however.

Thick. Just as on every other Schecter 7 I've played. Although I must say that the neck on my old A7 Elite wasn't quite as thick as the C7 necks.

They're nice, man. Incredibly good value for the money. Most companies' Korean instruments need a lot of work to make them playable without dead spots on the neck or sharp fret ends etc. And most have shitty tone woods that don't sound good regardless of what pickups you install. But all of the Korean Schecters I've played have been 100% usable and cool right out of the box. In fact, oddly enough, the only Schecter I've ever had a problem with was a USA-made Sunset-7 (basically a USA bolt-on C7). On that one, the nut slot for the G string was cut too low, so it would have needed a new nut--but I returned it to the seller, since I didn't like the guitar well enough compared to what I had paid. But I've never had any problem like that on my import Schecters. My current '99 C7+ probably needs a new input jack, and the 3-way switch is 'upside down' (meaning opposite of how a Les Paul is switched), which is annoying since the switch sits directly below the area where you pick and it's easy to bump the switch when it's in the 'up' position. But they've put the switch in a better position on the newer C7s, and I think that Schecter is using better hardware now than back in '99.

As far as 'feel' goes, the setneck Schecters all feel very 'substantial'. The necks are thick, though not quite at the '59 Les Paul baseball bat level. Quite playable, though probably not the thing if you like Ibanez necks. The guitars don't weigh as much as you might think, since the bodies are made out of Asian mahogany, which typically is lighter than the Honduran mahogany traditionally used in U.S.-made guitars. As a result, you won't get the kind of dark and heavy tone you'd get from a lot of mahogany guitars, but you do get a very usable and versatile tone, since the darkness and heaviness aren't exaggerated. I'm still looking to get a more high-end seven than my Schecter, but that's not because the Schecter sucks.

Re: Schecter C7 Blackjack... Any opinions?

                      Personally, I didn't like the C7 blackjack
The neck is too thick for me, very fat for my taste
Plus the scale length didn't make it any easier to play for me( as i have small hands)
As far as tone goes it sounded OK but i played thought a shitty amp so that maybe the reason
Ibanez makes pretty comfy 7 string necks, I like them a lot But I don't like them as much for a 6 string they are too thin in my opinion

The COW-7 I played definitely did not have a thicker neck than my old Blackjack. I would rate the COW-7 neck as medium-thick.

maybe I was mistaken, but it felt thinner than the DK7 i have.. I will try to get some specs on the neck for the C7
