I luv Gibson SG's.....my two daily players, a 84 SG std. w/gibson/kahler & 87 model 6 both w/EMG's ready to grind!!!!
luv your SG what finish is that. SG is the tone except for a les paul custom-these 2 thru a Marshal half stack at 9 volume nothin like em!!!!!!!! [img]/images/graemlins/band.gif[/img].........

The finish is called Vinatge Cherry I think. Looks brighter and is more transparent then the Cherry on the 61 RI or SG standard.

what model sg is it? i only ever seen the sg with the big scratchplate...only the epi's seem to have the small plate over here

There are many Sg models with the small pickguard, like SG61. But the most common the standard has a big one.

I like both the small pickguard and batwing pickguards. That supreme you have German is sweet looking too.

Thanks- except fot the EMGs, that's exactly the way it came from the factory. I have the original pickups still but don't plan to go back.
