Re: LP v. Explorer

Gibson Explorer is my favourite guitar. Not for their look, which i like, but The 2 I've had feel and play the best, and if you take out the muddy pups for an X2N or something, they sound great too. i think they are extremely comfortable to play. The top point, that your arm is on is like an arm rest. works great for me except hitting the pointy body into things and the huge and expensive case. A Less Paul is not so comfortablefor me and not balanced when sitting down and playing.

Yup, I don't care for LPs sitting down. They sit too far to my right. I like the way a strat sits better.
The hamer explorer shape fits a little better than gibson explorer to me sitting down (top 'wing' is at a better angle or something.
The Ibanez x-series destroyers have a god awefully huge feel to them, but I like it for some reason.

If you want to sit, get a strat or tele

and with an Explorer you can sit with the lower point between your legs too. Kind of like people do with V's

Explorer, definitly. I've played some LP's now and the only one that could bewitch me was an '89 LPC sans pickguard. The other ones felt too cumbersome and I didn't really like the sound, to be frank.
You took too much, man. Too much. Too much.
