Well, having had many brands of guitars. And I have a 96 MIM. A Fender neck is nothing like a J/C neck. They are like night and day. Each have their good parts. But, as an old fart, there is nothing like and old arched fretboard and a big, on even a little, C back. Or maybe D [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

Cool. Hope yours doesn't turn into a closet queen like mine LOL! It's a 1996 (old stock, bought new in 1998), and still brand new.

No, it's a great guitar, just like the one pictured only more bluish purple. Tone is great, I'd prefer larger frets, but I'm just not hot for Fenders that much. More of a Gibson/Jackson guys.

I read the discussion on Mexistrats here last week. I went out and bought a brand new Arctic White maple neck for $325 at my local guitar shop. It's great. Chunkier neck than my Jacksons, not as chunky as my Les Paul, and the only maple fretboard I own.
