granted the gutiars will sound different but the better production on it compared to some of the 80's md stuff is going to make it quite difficult to have a fair comparison....

I like the DV8's apart from the cutout on the V just looks fugly other than that its ok....

I think the DV8's may actually be outselling some of the metallica sigs....

I still dont understand how dave is whining and what not just by saying i submitted this design to a guitar company 15 years ago nothing happened took it to ESP they said it's doable....

You can pull enough singles off of RISK and TWNAH to rival any Metallica gayness. Remember Crush'Em? How about Breadline, Ecstasy, I'll Be There, Promises, or Silent Scorn? Nothing like a "metal" band injecting a "rat a tat tat" drum line to coincide with a trumpet solo.

Dave's one of my heros and even though he's been with ESP for a few years now I still do a double take every time I see him with one. There are so many other companies that put out a way better product that he could have signed with. Oh, and I would love to see Dave bust out a Les Paul at some point.

God, I hate the Axxion with passion! I remember seeing that ugly piece of crap in one of my copies of Musician's Friend, and saying, "What the hell is that? Was Dave really really high when he sent in the desgin for the Axxion? At least the DV8 is cool."

I have a buddy who has one and a DV8 and he says the Axxion is a better sounding and playing guitar that the DV8.
Ugly as it is... Its still Daves. And the DV8 outsells ALL of the Metalica sigs... combined from what I have been told.
Its a good looking guitar and it plays great. unlike those atrocities (sp?) that metalica put thier names on. I mean WTF is a "truckster"? its an ugly version of a good looking guitar. and that stupid looking skull spider of HomoHammett.

I've seen an image of him from guitar world using a ESP Eclipse. I have on here somewhere
