• Ibanez RGA321FSPB Pics

This my RGA321 "Archtop Prestige" Cost me $1350.00 a year ago. First guitar. I think it is truly a great. I use 12's, a Line 6 Spider II 210, Damage Control Demonizer Tube Pre-Amp Dist. Pedal, and a Morley Bad Horsie 2 Wah. The DiMarzio pickups are custom made for Ibanez and they sound really hot!

Nice guitar! The 2 that I've touched had really awesome tone. 12's wow I am a super girly man cause I don't go higher than 10's ! Here's some info on your pickups:

The DiMarzio®/IBZ pickups are specifically designed and manufactured by DiMarzio® for Ibanez, and they are not available separately. Like all DiMarzio® pickups, they are made in our New York factory. Both neck and bridge pickups are high-output models. The neck pickup is fairly bright-sounding, similar to a Super 2™ (DP104). The bridge pickup is a little louder and warmer-sounding, and resembles a cross between the Steve Morse Bridge Model™ (DP200) and the Super Distortion® (DP100). The R1 single-coil is warmer-sounding than a typical vintage single-coil, and was designed to work well with the neck and bridge humbuckers when they are in split mode. It has a sound similar to that of the HS-2™ in split-coil mode.

I recently bought the earlier RGA121NTF J-craft Prestige. These are awesome guitars and the neck is one of the best I've felt.

Great guitar! I own one of these (RGA321) myself and it is definitely one of the best playing and sounding guitars I own. I only like my Charvel SD better, but the Ibanez holds it's own and the pickups and the neck are pretty fantastic.

                      I think the 121 has Ibanez p/u's. The 321 has Dimarzio's.

I think you're right - the RGA121 I played had pickups marked "Vx" (don't remember the numbers). I just thought that overall it was pretty nice for the price.

                          Yeah V7 and V8 I think. The RGA321 p/u's say DiMarzio/IBZ.

Yes the RGA121 has the V7neck/V8bridge combo. I've read where people complain the V8 is too bright. I ended up lowering the right side/treble side of the pickup down and it really helped in balancing out the sound. Did this to other Ibanez's I have with the same V8 and it helped those too.

man i love that guitar, i wanted to pick one up but it's pricey for an ibanez.
i'm still trying to decide since there are alot of great guitar buys in that price range.
