Anybody know the story on Dimarzio necks and bodies?? Who made them?? I bought what I thought was a strat this week and took it apart to get some measurements from the neck and found it to have a Dimarzio logo burned into the back of the heel. I seem to remember some ads from the 80's but I'm getting old and my memory isn't that good anymore. Any info appreciated.

Charvel made the Burned in ones from what I remember. The stamped ones are Japanese. -

DiMarzio necks and bodies are fantastic.Very high quality.Burned logo'd necks are USA.I would think judgeing by the date it could very well been made by Charvel.I had a swamp ash DiMarzio star body that was made by Charvel.Really? well screw Mark Twain.Comment
