Re: NEW!! Learn Guitars

wow cool..how the hell do you build up such complex designs?...it must be very hard trying to translate whats in your head onto a guitar/bike/whatever..in fact how can you picture how its gonna look in your head beforehand when there's that much detail involved...its insane!! something i'd find very difficult...or do you just start and keep going with the flow and add more and more cool details as your mood takes you?

Thanks Crank Daddy!

Sonic,
Man...Sometimes the creativity flows better than others. But I do alot of sketching when I am in the mood. Alot of the Jackson stuff I have been doing was created on the run with no sketches or references. It really depends on what I feel like sometimes. I love painting and building guitars. It has never been boring.

One way to eplain the creative process that you guys can all under stand is like when you are jamming free form...maybe creating a song in the process. But its just like when it comes to the solo...And you play it from the gut and nail it the first time..From there one out it is always trying to capture that feeling. It is the same with painting. You hear the song in your head...You gotta find the notes to get it out.

hehe thats a good analogy...have you always just painted what you felt on to things or did you start out pretty basic? i'm just starting my first paint job - i'm doing a yellow bengal star...you can see it in the general jackson charvel talk http://www.jcfonline.com/ubbthreads/...;page=0#691373

i don' think i wanna try anything technical yet although i would like to be able to do flames one day

I actually think the tele looks new and edgy but elegant. That's pretty damn hard to pull off. And sorry to use a pansy word like "elegant" but it fits when you're talking about a guitar body. I've seen a lot of new whackadoo shapes on the market that frankly I wouldn't be caught dead playing.

I'd take the gold one for sure.

I like it. For that cold tall 48 oz brewski. Maybe the Heini Keg can .

DD,
I have built neck throughs and set necks in the past. I will be building a neck through in each of the two body designs.
Racer,
I dig the 6 in line too. The next one is a bolt on Korina body and it will have reverse 6 in line. I'll post a pic when its done. It's going into the paint process tomorrow.

Each and every design is fantastic, IMO.

Outstanding work!

Re: NEW!! Learn Guitars

that is about the most kick-arse single cut design I've seen. Very very cool. And I love the Kulick finish on the second.

I don't mind the headstock. It's nothing spectacular, but it does the job, is understated and doesn't drawn attention away from the guitar by being gaudy/outlandish/ridiculous/flatout-wrong like a lot of manufacturers do to make their guitars stand apart. You've got a couple of good body designs and those far out graphics to do that for you

The first one looks awesome!
There´s something about the fretboard, bodyshape, colours and headstock that makes me wanna spend a lot of money..
