Ritchie plays one setup like this as a "nod" to Hendrix....so this guitar is an accurate copy of one of the RS Strats.

I still think the prices are a bit steep for what these are. They aren't original designs (except that N4 looking thing...which looks really cool BTW!) This is just me though.

Has anyone tried their PRS copies. Someone here ordered one a while back? How did that turn out?

Well I got mine . First of all it is a stunning guitar to look at . The finish is nice and smooth and the neck is very easy to play. But what has impressed me so far most about the guitar are the pickups (X1 and X2). They are definitely up to par with pickups like TZ and AN. You can get so many sounds out of this guitar . The fretwork is great just as good as PRSs .

Well, what better way to give a review than to record something . I did a recording with a clean tone and then a distorted tone. I flip around with pickups and the coil-tapping during playing. Hopefully it should give you an idea of what sounds you can get out of this guitar and how good the pickups are.

                    1. Test of Sapphire Star (clean).mp3 8.37 mb

                    2. Test of Sapphire Star (distortion).mp3 6.06 mb

Forgive my crappy playing (early in the morning) and crappy recording . Recorded with my V-Amp2 via line-in into Audacity 1.3.2 (beta) and exported to mp3 (320 kbit) with Lame 3.98.

                    Enjoy!
