I got a new guitar last week. It's an Ibanez hollow body. This is the first of it's kind that I've owned. I've always liked the sound of The Cure, as well as Jazz played on a hollow body. The pickups were changed within hours of having the guitar to the Gibson pickups that were in my Les Paul (has EMGs now) The sound is much better but I will NEVER EVER attempt to change the electronics on a hollow ever again. The guitar is nicely appointed with binding all around and even in the F holes. It was a bargain for a hollow body even being an import. Sound and playability are good for the price and I think I made a good choice.

Ibanez hollow bodies, especially the Japanese made, are great bargains. I used to have an Ibanez JP-20 that I owned for over 10 years, and I ended up selling it for 3X more than I bought it. The thing skyrocketed in price, and a lot of people swear that the Ibanez hollow bodies of the 80s beat the snot out of Gibson 335s that cost a lot more.
