I have always been a big Yamaha RGX and RGZ fan. The RGXs used to be the 24.75" scale and the RGZ's were 25.5" scale, but I think the newer RGXs are 25.5. I have not really had a problem with stock pickups or trems either, just put graphite on the pivot points and they return to zero just fine. I've been graphiting the moving parts since before I had locking trem guitars (since before they existed I hate to say!) and it helps all trems work better.

This new one sounds really cool, I probably won't be able to get one for quite awhile until they're out there used though.
