  • Bought a Gibson Melody Maker

Can't wait to get it. I think I'm going to add a neck pickup, but I don't know how the hell i'm gonna do that!

I used a '64 Melody Maker for the clean stuff on my band's EP. Great tone.

I wouldn't add anything to it. That is a very cool guitar.

I had a 1963 double cutaway Melody Maker that I still miss! Great score, congrats, and also, DON'T mod it! Those guitars are great at what they are, if you want something that does something else, get another guitar that does it. Don't paint a mustache on the Mona Lisa man!

That's a great deal on a vintage USA Gibson guitar, you really did great there!

A bridge pickup is all you nead bro!! Put an EMG 81 or 85 in there and it will be a great metal guitar. P-90`s can do metal, but they squeel really bad and they lack low end. EMG makes P-90 sized Hums for that Congrats-Jack.

Heh, we'll see. I was thinking a yellow dimarzio would suffice.

Any regular size humbucker will fit in a P90 hole , no routing needed.

that sounds like a fat ass guitar. Play some Leslie West for us when you get it!!!
