apart from the headstock, what's the difference? Is it just hardware? The CSG would still let you play with the colour on that body shape

I used to feel the same way (still sort of do with the Gibsons), but I've seen so many smokin' hot Jackson Firebirds on this forum that I've kind of come around. sully & Ken's love of the FB is infectious.

Good idea. There's a short run of acid wash (or something similar) Gibby custom FBs that look like they're smeared with neon green and yellow dripping snot. Killer finish but I've only seen one.

I love Firebirds, one of my favorite shapes.

Explorers are too pointy for me, although I do like them too.

the Firebird body just flows. it's a rounded Explorer.
