  • In case you like GMPs or quilt tops...

Here is the Pawn Shop I backdoored off ebay. It is A+ condition and looks way better in person than the crappy ebay pics. Did I say sustain !!! OMG this thing rings forever. It is my first chambered PS and it just smokes. It does have a little feedback issues at higher volume from the chamber but not bad. It also has the neck carve that I like the best so to say the least I'm very happy.

Now for a few quick pics.

I'm not very familiar w/ the GMP. How's the playability of these guitars?

Second to none, Owlhead. There are a handful of us on this forum who are addicted to GMPs.

Read more about them and see lots of tasty GMP porn at the new GMP forum. You'll never see cooler finishes anywhere. Totally Rock as Fuck.

                          Fantastic score Hammer, congrats!

Owlhead - The build quality of the average GMP is off the charts, even the folks who don't care for them usually agree on that point. The fretwork is outstanding as well (the average GMP is as good or better in this deparment then anything I've ever seen from Jackson). As a consequence they set up nicely and can be made to play *very* well.

They are on par with the best as far as playability. Their build quality and fret work is fantasic which allows you to set the guitar up how you like it.

When they were in business their custom shop was was best value around. Great turnaround time and no price gougeing to move voume knob or remove pick up

GMP has a small but mighty following. Most people who have one either want more or have a few stashed away in their collection.

Like any guitar it is up to player to decide if it the right guitar but they don't lack quality.

Back to my own little GMP world now..............................
