So this isnt the first guitar you've made then? You must have alot of woodwork experience to pull off something that gorgeous! Thats the nicest korina I've ever seen, I'd be scared to finish it much less work with it!

Actually it is the first totally scratch built guitar I've made, I have made other guitar parts and did some restorations of some pretty trashed vintage guitars, but never the whole guitar from scratch. I've been fixing around on guitars for 20+ years, so I do have some experience with tinkering with them. Plus I'm a gearhead, so that helps too.

That flame korina is outrageous. Nice work. Really dig the headstock design, too, and the neck joint is sweet.

I built it from scratch.

Flamed korina neck and body
Rosewood board and head veneer
Ivoroid binding
24.625 scale
MOTS inlays
6105 frets, 12" radius
Large V neck
5 way megaswitch
CTS Pots
I also wound the pickups myself.

So you didn't plant the trees, then, or mine and smelt the copper for the wiring? Oh well, I guess people like to take the fast-and-easy approach nowadays.

LOL! I did take apart the pots and massaged the carbon track to get the values where I wanted them.
