I like the guitar to have no knobs at all, just the pickup wired at 11 and a kill switch on the cord similar to the one Planet Waves makes. Much less hardware to clutter the top of the guitar.
Now that's wood conservation. Less good wood turned to chips and saw dust, plus you can see the beauty of the wood!:ROTF:
I went looking on the Planet Waves website for the kill switch but couldn't find it. Is there a link to it you could provide? It sounds interesting.Comment

single hum guitars rule, but really you dont need to ask us if its going to limit your options, because it obviously will. but most metal players do just fine with single hums. I hardly use the neck pickups on any of my guitars.Comment

You can get the woman tone with a single just fine...if it has a tone control...or just cut the highs on the amp.
