ODD BALL ONE! Splendor SG-602 Japan

A guy at work brought in a weird guitar.
Back plate says:

Made in Japan
"Splendor"
SG-602
Hitachi Musical
Instrument MFG, Co, LTD

Strat shape body, not plywood.
It has a funkey trem on the bridge plate.
It almost looks like a Jaguar.
2 pickup switches upper horn.
Strat shape head.

Looks like a cheepie.
Any ideas?

I can tell you what that one is without pics. It's a Splendor. They were made in Japan by Hitachi Musical Instrument Mfg, Co, LTD. Probably a Strat shaped body, maybe solid wood. They usually came with the "funkey" trem on the bridge plate. They look very similar to a jaguar, with a Strat headstock and two pickup switches on the upper horn. They look kinda like cheapos to me, but once they're stripped down on a bench they look pretty cool. Let me know if you need any other info.
