Has anyone tried the new Greco made Zemaitis guitars?
They have a custom shop series as well.I'm just wondering what the prices are.
Hell if Greco is building them I want one.
    Really? well screw Mark Twain.

The Grecos are in/around the $3,000.00 range.

That's pretty high in my opinion.......but of course the new high end Z models......straight from Japan are in the $8 to $9,000.00 range.

I spoke to Bob Willcutt(Willcutt guitar shop)and he said the high end stuff is VERY nice but VERY high dollar.
I would have to make an appointment to see them.
He said the lower end is quite nice and very high quality too.I'll go take a look who knows they might kick ass.

Is this the part where I point out that GMP's Pawn Shops are based on a Zemaitis?

Har, this is where I point out that my Xaviere XV500 which cost me a tad over $500 is a total Zemaitis rip-off, and one of the best guitars I own. It's the yellow one in case you really needed to ask.

Yes that's the place. The Xavieres are his exclusive line I believe, and are Korean made. The fretwork is done by hand, not machine, and they are set up in Boston I believe. The XV500 is $329 right now, and the XV700 is $319. The 700 is a thinner, lighter body. Actually $329 is about what I paid for mine. I was thinking of how much it cost me in Canadian money. Back then, the American dollar was worth a lot more than it is now.

                          Damn that honeyburst looks awesome.

I think I might have to get another one.

One more thing. I changed the tuners to gold Grovers, because I don't like the Kluson style tuners, and I changed the pickups, because the stockers didn't cut it for me. If you get one, stick a Duncan Custom in the bridge, and prepare to be blown away.

How thick is the top? What did you see in the pickup cavities while replacing the pickups?Sorry for the questions just curious.I was thinking WCR Black magics or RS/Fralin PAFs.
