  • Anybody Know About Reb Beach's?

Cause I just picked one up today. RMB1- Sorta metallic green- serial says 1991- first year of production. S/S/H with a licensed Floyd- looks like a lo-pro. Really clean and a throaty sound unlike any of my other guitars.

Does anyone know about this particular model?

    I know alot about it.
#1. Its pretty rare because of the gold pickguard and the year.
#2. It does have a lo-pro on it.
#3. The bridge pickup is VERY throaty. It sounds exactly like a Dimarzio Megadrive (I believe that is what it actually is). The middle and neck pickups are stacked humbuckers. The mini toggle is a coil tap.
#4. The fretboard is Bolivian Rosewood.
#5. The case that it came in has black trim on the outside. It is the original case for that guitar.
#6. Its one of the nicest Ibanez guitars I have ever owned or played.
#7. Its set up 1/2 step down with 9 gauge strings
#8. It is 100% bone stock. Don't alter it. Ibanez collectors HATE when high end Ibanez Signature guitars are messed with.

I wonder why I know so much about this particular guitar???

Our mutual friend is a cool guy. Have you seen his new aquisition?
My wife says the Reb is more blue than green. Too bad for me you sold the pink one- that was my first choice. Anyway, this Beach plays well- I set it up with 10's and brought it back to A440 yesterday- it's really clean for a 91. Feels like a prestige neck- it's slightly fatter than my Jem and Universe necks.
I'm suprised there isn't more info around on this Voyager model. I've scoured the web and found very little on it. Thanks for your info.

Yep.. I agree on all points. Joe is a super cool guy with an incredible knack of finding killer guitars and yes... that RBM1 is extremely nice.
