You access the controls through the jack plate. Been there, done that, it's a hassle.

Oh, yea I believe the jack plate is larger than the standard square one on other Les Paul's.

Well, Robo did it right in picking one that sounded awesome, becuase you would no want to go through swapping those electronics out.

The thing I'd hate to see is someone doing the buckle rash thing on one of these. That would suck destroying the back of one of these.

Beautiful guitar Ivan! I really like the way these look. I love the split fret markers. The only thing on these I am not crazy about is the headstock inlay design.

They have a thick, warm tone. I always played mine through a "clean" Fender amp and the tone would melt butter. Great score!

Yes, indeed the plate is larger. I remember seeing a pic on either Gibson's site or the Les Paul Forum about this one time. While it is bigger, I'm sure it's still a pain in the ass to get in there.

They are a LARGE pain in the ass to work on The electronics are partial quick disconnect.The person that wired the one I worked on did a very poor job.The nut was cut too low and the strings were laying on the first fret.The binding up by the nut had dirt and grime under the clear coat.I guess he did the right thing by looking at more than one.
