Specs are almost identical but never played an esp. Looking at the urban camo ,I like the look and it comes with emg's. Would end up buying used as they aren't made anymore. Anyone play both? I have a couple of sl2h's and they're great .Thanks

I own one and it is a great guitar. However, I have found that the EMG's are not for me. I play 70's/80's hardrock and metal and the EMG's just lacked soul for soloing. I am currently shoping for Duncans to replace them. The finish is very cool and smooth as a Prom Queen's thigh

I have a bunch of older 80's ESP itars and I think they are great too. I have a bunch of Jacksons as well but I like the ESP neck profile better. It is more like the Grover Jackson era neck shape to me and those are the Jacksons I like best so if you like older Jacksons you will probably like the ESP.

If you like the SL2H and want something which is the same, but different, grab one, they are great guitars. I had a Hanneman sig model (basically an neckthrough MII with a newer kalher) that I used as a backup guitar to my SL2H playing in a metallica cover band a few years ago. Only reason I sold it was I went SD charvel crazy and needed to move something. SL2H was just a small notch or two above the ESP (IMHO) so the SL2H stayed as I am not playing neckthroughs anymore really and I have a thing for Jacksons going way back. If I got back into neckthroughs again, I could see myself buying an ESP again (propably starting with trying to get back my old one of the new owner still has her )."I''ll say what I'm gonna say, cuz I'm going to Hell anyway!"
