The pink one is a Universe 7-string. Serial # 1. This guitar was the very first guitar from LGM and Jeremy furnished documentation when he sold it to me.
I met and hung out with Jeremy at the 2005 winter NAMM show. Nice guy...Very talented. Jeremy, Vwall, Myself, and another guy went to Beverly Hills to have a steak at "The Stinking Rose". A garlic based restaurant. Then we hit a couple casinos after.
He runs a one man shop, and does all of his own airbrush and inlay work. He had a guitar on display at the Graph Tech booth. I didn’t get to play it though.
If you look closely, you can tell most of the pics on his website showing the finishes are mockups done in photoshop. My favorites are "sour apple" and the "Ice blue one". The body style is killer! I really like the extended upper horn.
Here is a pic of Jeremy & his friend from Canada holding a LavIIathon w/airbrushed flames.
Yes, Jeremy is a friend of mine. Ive known him for years- before he ever knew how to build a guitar.
Ive played his guitars and think are are very, very good.
They do have a Jem like feel to them which for me makes them all the better.
I wouldnt hesitate to pick one up.
Not to bash them, but why rip off another company? If you're putting out a good product, make it unique, or at least put your own name on it instead of Ibanez. That's just not cool.
He does put the LGM name on the guitars. It's just because of the fact that they do vine inlays, and numerous RG5xx owners probably ask him to "JEM their RG" that it says ibanez on the headstock.
