  • strat w/ mahogany body?

I was looking at pictures of the charvels with natural mahogany body and vintage style stratty neck at the music zoo and started wondering,
fender makes strats wity alder, ash, poplar... and they almost never make strats with specs of those mahogany charvels. how come? except thos GC specials a few years ago?
has anyone tried those mahogany san dimas charvels?

I got a mahogany body for my maple/rosewood woodburn strathead neck, 2hum with unrecessed OFR. Best sounding guitar I have. Custom bridge Fullshred neck, tone HEAVEN!! So clean and crisp, just enough brightness, full body sound, absolutely love it.
Keen to try more mahogany/maple guitars for sure!

what's the difference from a regular maple/rosewood bolt on alder body?
      is this a lot heavier?
