Does anyone know of any really cool junior size guitars for kids? My 8 year old son is learning to play but he doesn't like the "mini strat". He wants something with a tremelo and "pointy tips" So, what other choices are out there?

at 8 yrs old I wouldn't waste my money or time on a 3/4 scale guitar. I just got my daughter a full scale Carly (Sam Ash brand, but they did this one pretty good) guitar for girls, it's an acoustic electric that is perfect for her, with a smallish body but a regular 25.5 scale neck. I think at that age the 3/4 scale is already too small.the guitar players look damaged - they've been outcasts all their lives

Epiphone made a Mini Flying Vee. My 6 year old has that, along with a mini LP Jr, also from Epi.
A mini Vee was just sold in the Classifieds for $60 shipped - I was very tempted, damn good deal, but I really don't need it.
No trems in any micro sized axes I know of, but they might be out there. Or, do it yourself.

My 4 year old Daughter making a noise one her Mini B.C.Rich Warlock
She can't play it,and the damned thing has a rather loud built in amp and speaker, powered by a 9volt battery
You can't buy them new anymore, but they do turn up on Ebay from time to time, particularly in Germany for some reason?
It even has a Truss rod and the Neck is Straight!

I do know that Fernandes makes these
You would have to find a Japanese shop that will sell and ship it to you though,as B.C.Rich would go mental if Fernandes sold them outside of Japan,so they are Japanese market Only

Lorne that's a great pic of your daughter, Very cute!
What about a Strat Junior? I bought one for traveling. It's very good quality. You could put a Kahler trem on a Junior pretty easily including a humbucker. With some additional routing you could put a OFR on the guitar!Tone is like Art: Your opinion is valid. Listen, learn, have fun, draw your own conclusions.
