What kind acoustics do you have and do you ever play them? I have a Taylor 510 CE and use it to figure out tunes because I can adjust the tuning to what I'm trying to learn. Ever since I joined a band, I play the thing almost everyday.

I have an Ibanez AW200ECEVV, and I love it. I never ever thought I would buy an Ibanez guitar until I played this one. Went to the store to buy a Martin and ended up with this one. Really nice instrument.

I have a Martin D16 GT. Very nice guitar, great sound and have used it on stage, but no onboard electronics. Don't care for attaching pickup to it.
I have a Yamaha 12 string with electronics. A great guitar for the money and sounds terrific. I also own a fender acoustic and I wouldn't recommend it for anyhting but firewood.
I'm in the search for a Takamine EF341SC or (DLX). One of the best I've ever heard.Occupation: Department Director for the Department of Redundancy Department

I have a Harmony Sovereign (50's or 60's): 3 or 4 Stellas; a Kay Single Cutaway (60's); a Silvertone (60's) and a few others.:ROTF: Not to mention the classicals. Well, I play them but not well. And my 1934 Oahu Hawaiian guitar. I just love guitars.... :ROTF: :ROTF: :ROTF:I am a true ass set to this board.

Those "cheap" storebrand guitars are the sounds you hear from the music that is the blues and rock and roll. It's what the greats used and it works for me. You need to try an old Stella or Harmony acoustic to know what I mean. I will put up my "Cheap" Harmony Sovereign against any guitar and win. By the way, my Sovereign only cost me $20.:ROTF: :ROTF: :ROTF:I am a true ass set to this board.

I have two, a Charvel 6 string A/E
and a
Guild F212 12 string I just put a nice Fishman pickup into.
I play them both quite often. I usually figure stuff out on the 6, like everyone says, it's easy to pull out and just noodle on.
being a good acoustic player makes one a much better electric player.Last edited by skorb; 09-01-2006, 10:21 PM.the guitar players look damaged - they've been outcasts all their lives

The neat thing about acoustics is you can practice and play without making a whole lot of noise. Not only that but you can actually hear what you are doing without all the mods from an electric. It gets right down your skill on the board. And that's a good thing.I am a true ass set to this board.
