US assembled, not built. The parts are imported.

Why were these discounted? Because of the black hardware? I would expect black hardware to normally be an UPCHARGE. Too bad I missed out, but they will be back in march of 2007 (AT FULL PRICE!!!!)

They were factory seconds. I got one with the red/white bullseye (all they had left) and the white had yellowed. All in all, not a bad guitar for twice the price.

I've been into these since music yo first put them up - the bullseye especially - post a review and pics if you get a chance. How yellow did the white turn? Like an old white strat/gibson yellow, or something altogether not as cool?

These things are awesome. Perfect for nailing the EVH sound. Harmonics also jump right off of the fretboard and the neck- i must say is my favorite out of pretty much all of the guitars ive played (maybe only the EBMM Axis being close) The pickup is hot and when turned down, can nail the strat neck pup sound. I love these things and i just bought a second one to use as a backup axe to my first 1984.

I dont have pics of my new one but heres my old one:

My new one is a red and white bullseye instead- looks killer

Oh and about the USA assembled comment- theyre actually completly USA made now in the Baldwin Piano Plant in Arkansas
