Yesterday I pulled the trigger on an early-mid 90's trans-cherry Hamer mahogany Special with dual humbuckers. It is your basic, bare-bones workhorse guitar, guarenteed to sound and play like butter.
It's going to come with a Duncan Seth Lover in the bridge and a 59 in the neck, as seen in the pic. The original JB is coming as well. However, I've got a pair of double cream Seth Lovers I think I'm going to drop in there instead. I've got the nickel covers as well, which I "aged" for another guitar only to find that the routes won't accomidate the extra fraction of an inch the covers add. Anyway, I'm thinking either the double cream Seths with cream rings, or the aged nickel covers. Either way, it should be a pretty kick ass, vintage style, rock and roll machine. I'll take more pics when I get it.
