rosewood musicman axis super sport???

what do you guys think of those axis w/ rosewood neck and rosewood top on ash body?
I really like the look but I don't know how rosewood shapes the tone compared to maple on regular axis?
PRS makes a big deal out of rosewood neck...

the rosewood axis is very nice. but it doesn't hold a candle to a prs mccarty with a rosewood neck - those are just amazing guitars.

in terms of tone, it is odd. every other rosewood necked guitar i've used before has been noticeably warmer/rounder than it's maple counterpart. the axis is not. it still sounds very good but not what i was hoping for. i wonder if they used different pickups in that model that changes things in some way.

I had a Rosewood Axis. Tim's right, it doesn't sound like you'd think. It actually sounded quite a bit like my regular Axis', which was dissapointing since the whole reason I bought it was because I thought it would be warmer and with a little more low end.
