Maybe they really dont have replacements in their "parts catalog". Who knows, maybe "-Jason G" is just some monkey sitting at a cubicle in canada. Might sound nuts, but take it from someone in the out sourcing business, it's definitely a possibility.
I know there's a guy over at the guitar lodge forums who's real big into carvins... Ridiculously so, his forum name is "FastRedPonyCar". I know he's pretty big over at the carvin forums a well, but dont know his name there. Anyway, the point is, if anyone can tell you how to actually get an answer from Carvin about the parts your looking for, he can.
Hope this helps.
Later,
Steve
Edit: PS. no direct offence to monkeys sitting at cubicles in canada was intended..Guitars:

They really are nothing more than set screws. Pull another one out and take it with you to a real hardware store (not like Home Depot or Lowes) and you might get one. Otherwise places online like McMaster-Carr ( http://www.mcmaster.com/ ) will likely have them. The problem with the online places is you have to buy a bag of 100 or so. Really depends on whether that one pole piece is worth about $10 to you.
Or follow Stukas advice, plus use a magnet.

They should be able to get you a polepiece; that's just ridiculous. If you call DiMarzio and say "My Blaze shipped with silver polepieces and I needed black" they'll send you black poles. Call them back.Courtesy, Integrity, Self-control, Perseverance, Indomitable Spirit

Crap, I'm looking for the email of a really helpfull dude at Carvin who sorted out an issue for me once. If/when I find it I'll postit for you. But yeah, that screw you should be able to find at your local hardware shop.I swear, by my life and my love of it, that I will never live for the sake of another man, nor ask another man to live for mine. - Ayn Rand

I always find, that "what's your name" coupled with "may I speak to your supervisor then?" gets the assholes to lighten up. If they don't then their supervisor will, or HIS supervisor will. Eventually you usually get to someone who will accomodate you just so they can get back to what they were doing before you called. It probably IS not a standard sold part, but a little squeaking and you'll get greased.Ron is the MAN!!!!
