  • New MIM Floyd equipped Strats

    Greetings.

I know folks on this forum are pretty knowledgeable when it comes to superstrats , so I thought I'd ask if anyone has any experience on these new MIM Strats. Fender has tagged them with the "Upgrade" thingy, which makes me want to think better quality bridges or pickups for example.

I've got serious GAS for a Floyd equipped Strat and the MIM Standard is in the ballpark price-wise. Plus it's the only FR Strat Fender seem to have in production right now... Here's the link: http://www.fender.com/products/searc...tno=1134700306

    Thanks for your time.

the MIM Starts are excellent guitars for the price. The only thing for me in the one you posted is 21 frets instead of 22 but no way in hell you can beat a strat with a humbucker and an OFR

Well, it is not an OFR (which is still made by Schaller), but a good copy made by Ping.

I would look for a Fender Japan floyd rose strat over a new mexican one - cost about the same, and the workmanship/quality is better.

see if you can find one of those fender Stagemasters. 24 fret neck-through hum-sing-hum strats with liscended FRs. great bang for the buck.
