It's sickening all right.. But from another point of view I guess it's not a bad investment, since a lot of those guitars can be sold for as much or maybe even more than they cost when they were purchased.. Lots of rarities have popped up these last couple of pages..

Ehh... it looks great, but it's not as great as you'd think up close. I bought it on Ebay, and it looked mint. But there's a LOT wrong with it that I've yet to fix due to the lack of time on my hands to get around to doing it. Neck was offset (kinda fixed it), still gotta fix the nut (the guitar never had a floyd to begin with, so the neck isn't exactly 'designed' to have a nut there), needs complete rewiring of the pickup system (knobs are 'incorrectly placed' if you look at a normal LP wiring scheme). It'll be fine once I get around to it, but it's been sitting in the case since I've bought it, waiting for some free time. It'll be a good stage guitar, but I wouldn't record with it.

That was owned and built by a member here! I remember when he finished it, looks really nice in the pics. Sorry to hear its not what you expected. Try a search in the Import Jackson section for his thread on it... good luck though, our search feature kinda sucks.

What's that RR? Custom Shop? Where's the vol pot? And what are the switches for? Best guitar so far in this thread IMO! One just like that and with H/S config and white bevels is my dream guitar!

Just one master vol and three way toggle. It's a very dark black cherry...It is the prototype for the original XTRR run. I put 2 EMG 81's in it.

It was offered to me for cost by the former Jackson A&R guy when we were endorsed. The best guitar I have ever owned, hands down.

it is a 1984 Fender Squier Tele body that I refinned in my garage, with a custom birdseye Warmoth neck on it with jumbo frets, new SD pups and the rest of the parts are from Stew/Mac. oh, and locking Grover tuners.

plays like a dream, I really love how it turned out.

Love your Dweezil too, and that Guild electric looks interesting!

Sweet! I'm thinking of going the warmoth route for a tele as well... that will probably be my next guitar, though it's not gonna be any time soon

the guild is the guitar I play the most these days, it plays like an SG, but sounds thicker, more like an LP; the body is considerably thicker and heavier than an SG. I need to swap out the JB in the bridge though, I'm just not a fan of that pickup.
