I'm far from an expert but I have a Custom and I look at others all the time on the web etc. This one looks funny. The headstock, the fretboard and inlays in particular. Perhaps it is a true custom shop built to someone's particular specs. Follow through with the serial # look up with Gibson. Call them or email besides checking the web site refs. The LP forum would be another great resource. Good luck.

The wiring looks like import variety. Those are the same pickups used in the EPI's.Inlays look off the norm too.Rosewood board is light in color as are the imports.
JMO I would not give that price.JMO again I think the logo has been added after the fact because it looks like its too close to the tuner.Headstock looks too short by just a little.
May have been a 2nd or a repaired dumpster diver special.
I may be a great player but thats too high a price for a used import.Really? well screw Mark Twain.

i recently bought a "Gibson" to only find out it was a Gibsun real gibson guitars don't have gibson on the pickups accroding to Gibson but your best bet is to call the 1800number because they can tell you what factory it was made in and all that jazz or tell you its a fake. thats my advice thank God i got my money back.
