For me its a '77 Ibanez LP Custom Copy, black with creme binding, gold hardware, mahogony body, indian rosewood board, and (poor) fake inlays. My old man gave it to me when I was about 8 years old, and I've had it ever since. He paid $75 for it back in 1986. Its spent more years under the bed, or in the closet, than it has been played.

I bought a new bridge, tail peice, and GFS Fat Paf pickups for it about a year ago. I had this guy named Dana Sutcliffe do all the work on it, shaved the neck and pocket so it fit right, complete refret, setup, etc. Dana is the guy who designed and built the, "Alvarez Dana Scoop", guitar. The guy knows his stuff.

That guitar plays excellently, and sounds great. I'd put it up against just about any of the LP copies out there today. One day I'll get some better hardware and pickups for it, and probably pass it on to my kids.

    Later,

    Steve

      Sonic, you've got a Valvestate 100 stack!
I love mine as much as my old Kramer. I've had it for donkey's years - sounds great at all volumes and has never let me down.
If you haven't already done so, put an old TubeScreamer between it and that beautiful Dean Vee, just to tip it right over the edge...

Valvestates are great amps, and they do sound really good with a tube screamer.

I just played one last weekend. 50watt with a Bad Monkey used for overdrive - not exactly a great pedal.

The thing rocked! Cut through the mix and sounded fantastic! One of the best amps I have ever heard. But yeah you gotta overdrive these amps.

Speakers were Dr. Z Best 2x12 with a Vintage 30/G12H30 mix. The guy who owned it said the cab made all the difference. He said put this same amp head on his Jackson 4 x 12 and it sounds huge and woody.

It would probably be a toss-up between my Grosh Bent Top and the PRS McCarty Goldtop that my wife got me as a birthday present in 1998. Both are fantastic instruments and both have a lot of sentimental value, too.

I don't have a picture of the PRS on the net, but I do have the Grosh. Here it is:

probably my blue GMW. I love my soloist too but that is replaceable. this is more of a "one of a kind". Plus it plays freaking great

My 7VWH would be the last to go for me:

It plays great, sounds great, and looks great. I love it.

My white 1999 SG Special...I've replaced the pickups in it and beat it up a little bit but since I first played it it's always been just right...

This is the only one i haven't considered getting rid of. I've had it for about 6/7 years now. Not going anywhere.

I got this one this year. I love this one to death. I always thought PRS's were overpriced and overated but this one is amazing.

This one is going with me to the grave.
I've wanted one since the first time I saw it.
10 years later, it shows up under the christmas tree.
                                Awesome gift from the wife.
