C'mon John, PLAY THE DAMNED THING! My 2001 custom 24 was minty with all case candy and goodies - and I put a small ding in it at the gig. Big deal! It sounds incredible, looks amazing and damn near plays itself.

I could see ditching the guitar if you didn't like it, but not playing it because it's too 'nice' is nuts.

Guitars are meant to be played, not stored in a case to look at from time to time, it looks way to nice to NOT play imo.

Beautiful axe.. I think I was looking at a similar one at one time a year ago..
I would cringe at dinging it up.. to much like a new car.

Well, its going on almost 2 weeks and it still hasn't been out of the case.

I tend to not play guitars at home unless they are out. My beat to shit N2 is out, my Model 4 mutt is out. I would never trust leaving this beautiful piece of furniture out.

I have one too. Truthfully, it plays like buttah. I regard it more as art or fine furniture though. I always play USA deluxe strats live however. Dont get me wrong, my Jacksons are awesome. I can't believe people would gig with a $3k guitar. ...not as wild and unpredictable as typical shows are. Enjoy that masterpiece!

Exactly. Half the time my gear is left unattended in a VERY crowded stage or band area.
