IFRC the Diablo's are dual hum and 24 fret. VS the Hum /Single and 27 fret slanted finger board of the Californian. The Imports are hit or miss. I had an awsome hamer std import (explorer) that i loved and it was a factory second but yet i couldnt find a flaw with it aside from two small pock marks on the edge of the fret board near the 5th fret. Other than that it was great for the 200 bucks i paid for it. But the USA Hamers are killer every bit as good as a Gibson or Jackson in quality and sound depending on the model.
