I had one identical to that home for a weekend and absolutely loved it. The necks on those guitars are just incredible and the speedloader is a killer bridge. The price was more than I had hoped and I just couldn't work the guy down enough and I ended up passing on it. I wish I hadn't.
Used? The ones I've seen on ebay have been in the $1800 range - but I have only seen a couple.
hippietim has a Floyd guitar, maybe he can be of more assistance.
I never had a Redmond series guitar. I have the Arrow which is their pointy V. It has been my main guitar for months now. I also have an Ibanez JEM that I took to Floyd Rose to have a Speedloader installed. Great stuff.
I want REAL change. I want dead bodies littering the capitol.

pretty cool, what's the budget to do the conversion?

the bridge itself costs about $200 or so. i don't remember what floyd charged me to do the job but i remember being pleasantly surprised. i think i could have done it myself to be honest but floyd's shop was right down the street.
if you have a big enough trem route on top and the nut screws line up it can be done without modifying the guitar in a permanent way - my jem could go back to stock.

Wow. There was one here at GC in Tempe, for 499.00, they said it was marked way down. It hung in there for awhile, then they moved it out by the Marshalls and it sold. I had no idea what they were worth. I played it, and thought it played great, but I'm not a floyd fan (the bridges, not necessarily the guitars). Sounds like I missed on a killer deal.

That was probably one of Floyd's imported Discovery series guitars. They're pretty good, too...but that's not that great a deal for a Discovery.
