  • Fender 50th Anniv.

Just picked up what turns out to be the sweetest, most playable Strat I've had in a long time. 2004 50th Anniversary Deluxe Strat. Has the S-1 switching and the SCN pickups which sound great.

Do the fret markers really stand out like that or is it just a camera flash thing. They look really cool.

No flash, just natural light. They're abalone dots...

Now play that thing until it looks like George Lynch's GL-Esp strat.

They sure are sweet. IMHO the peak right now of a Stratocaster. Rolled fingerboard edges, contoured heel, modern hardware, hum free pups, cool switching, etc.
            Very well done.

I was so close twice to buying one just like that. Those are awesome guitars. Sometimes I wish I would have, but I like the ones I have and so I'm good.

                    Congrats.

I like it. Do the SCN's sound like vintage pick-ups or something new?

They're quiet vintage type with a boost control. They sound GREAT!

That must be a standard, it's not a deluxe.
