I played a new MIK neck thru Dean V today.White with black binding 1 hum strung thru the body (v tail piece).Man what a nice guitar, fit and finish was perfect.Pearl block fret inlays and a dark rosewood board. These are a reissue of the 79s.I remember Nancy Wilson playing one with a Kahler back in the day.I told the dealer if it had a Kahler I'd be all over it.He,He.

These are great guitars. I've got one of the DOA (Dean Owners of America) V's from last year. Same basic guitar. Fantastic player. I also have an older ML Select that is even better. I think it's the thicker body on the Selects that I like...more substantial feeling.

I did notice now that you mentioned it the white gold V's body was thicker than the Chinese Dime model ML.I had an 81 blueburst V and the white gold V has the same body thickness just doesn't have the V neck profile. Its so damn cool I will most likely go get it.Really? well screw Mark Twain.
